THESE PACK SADDLES ARE MADE BY HAND IN OUR
SHOP USING THE HIGHEST QUALITY MATERIALS AVAILABLE.
WE HAVE TRIED
TO BE RESPONSIVE TO THE REQUESTS OF OUR CUSTOMERS, SUCH AS ADDING THE
PROFESSIONAL MODEL, THE ADJUSTABLE TREE, ALL THE WAY DOWN TO DETAILS AS SMALL
AS TURNING THE ENDS OF OUR STRAPS UNDER AND SKIVING IN ADDITION TO STITCHING
AND RIVETING.
WE ARE CERTAINLY
OPEN TO MAKING CHANGES YOU MIGHT LIKE IN YOUR PACK SADDLE AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T
COMPROMISE SAFETY OR QUALITY.
ALL OUR PACK SADDLES
ARE MADE OF "A" GRADE HEAVY HARNESS LEATHER. This
is the best choice for pack saddle strapwork because the harness leather
is tanned with waxes and oils which help resist sweat and moisture. All edges
are beveled to provide a smooth rounded edge against your animals hide.
I have repaired enough pack saddles with rusted buckles
deteriorating the leather to know the importance ol' good quality
hardware.
ALL OUR PACK SADDLES
ARE MADE WITH SOLID BRASS HARDWARE THAT WILL NOT RUST.
Straight breast collars are easy to make and use less leather
but they can choke your animal when going up a steep hill.
OUR BREAST
COLLARS ARE CONTOURED FOR RELIEF OF THE WINDPIPE.
It takes more time and leather but your animals will
appreciate the comfort. |
All straps are Joined to the hardware with 2 hand set copper
rivets (not cheap tubular rivets) and then stitched with nylon thread. The
ends are skived to form a smooth transition. This was requested by some of
our customers over the last year. Although it does take more time, we added
it as standard since we felt it improved our quality in both strength and
appearance.
Our Pack saddles feature plenty of adjustment in the strapwork
and will fit animals from approximately 800 to 1250 lbs.
